Itinerary:

  • Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival in Rome, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to our boutique hotel in the heart of the city. Take some time to settle in and soak up the atmosphere before we gather for a welcome dinner with the group — a perfect chance to meet your fellow travelers and toast the adventure ahead.
After dinner, we’ll take a relaxed evening stroll to a local gelateria for your first (of many) scoops of authentic Italian gelato.

    • Dinner/ Gelato included

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll step back in time with a guided walking tour through Rome’s most iconic landmarks — the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and surrounding historic districts. Our local guide will bring ancient history to life, and a professional photographer will join us to capture stunning memories along the way.

After the tour, we’ll enjoy a relaxed group lunch at a nearby Roman trattoria to enjoy some local flavors.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your pace — explore, unwind and soak in your first day of Rome!

Dinner is on your own tonight — or feel free to tag along with the group if you're up for more good food and good company.

    • Breakfast/ Lunch included

  • Start your day with breakfast and a warm welcome from our local Roman friend. Over coffee, you’ll get to dive into Italy’s rich coffee culture, ask her anything about local life, and pick up tips only a Roman would know - like Italian coffee culture!

The morning is yours to enjoy — or join an optional guided tour of the Vatican.

Later, we’ll meet for a Roman Food Tour, tasting your way through authentic neighborhoods, local markets, and beloved family-run spots. Come hungry — this is your lunch, Roman-style.

Afterward, enjoy some free time or opt to join our Italian friend for a visit to a traditional Italian pharmacy, where locals shop for cult-favorite skincare, beauty products, and natural remedies you won’t find at home.

In the evening, we’ll regroup for an aperitivo (Italy’s version of happy hour) followed by a group dinner to toast another beautiful day in Rome.

    • Breakfast, Lunch (Food tour) and Aperitivo/ Dinner included

  • Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the hotel. Bags will be safely stored so you can enjoy your final morning in Rome with some free time — perfect for shopping, sightseeing, or grabbing a second espresso.

Later, we’ll gather for a hands-on Italian cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Roman dishes — and enjoy the fruits of your labor as lunch.

After class, we’ll return to the hotel to collect your bags and get ready to head south.

Later in the evening we’ll head to board our high-speed train to Salerno- a charming coastal town and our gateway to the Amalfi Coast.

Upon arrival, we’ll check into our hotel before heading to a lively group dinner at a local spot offering regional cuisine to kick off our time on the coast.

    • Breakfast, Lunch (cooking class) and Dinner included

  • After breakfast, we’ll check out of our Salerno hotel to begin our scenic adventure along the Amalfi Coast.

We’ll spend most of the day on a small group boat tour, cruising the coastline with stops in Positano and Amalfi. Expect gorgeous views, turquoise water, and plenty of time to explore.
A light picnic-style lunch will be served onboard as we soak in the sunshine and scenery.

Note: We’ll confirm luggage handling in advance. You may either bring it onboard or it’ll be transported to our next hotel by a private luggage porter.

Once in Positano, enjoy free time to explore, shop, or grab a limoncello gelato before we make our way to Amalfi, check into our hotel, and unwind.

Dinner tonight is on your own — enjoy Amalfi’s romantic streets and choose a spot that suits your mood (or join fellow travelers if you’d like company).

    • Breakfast/ Picnic lunch included

  • Start your morning with a peaceful breakfast and a full day to enjoy the Amalfi Coast at your own pace. This is your time to slow down, explore, shop, swim, or simply soak in the beauty of your surroundings.

Lunch is on your own — wander through Amalfi’s charming streets and find a seaside café or tucked-away trattoria that calls your name.

In the evening, we’ll come together one last time for a special Goodbye Dinner as a group — a chance to reflect, share stories, and toast to new friendships and unforgettable memories.

    • Breakfast/ Dinner included

  • Enjoy one final breakfast together before we say our goodbyes and reflect on the memories made along the way.

We’ll coordinate a group transfer to the Naples Airport (NAP) for your departure. Safe travels — and we hope to see you again on another Retiro Trip soon!

    • Breakfast included
