Itinerary:

Arrive in the vibrant capital of Spain and check into your centrally located hotel. After settling in, ease into the local rhythm with a welcome sangria (or non-alcoholic refresher) to toast the start of your journey.
In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers and enjoy your first taste of Spanish cuisine. To close out the night like a true Madrileña, we’ll stroll to a local café for a sweet treat: traditional chocolate and churros.

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before heading out on a guided walking tour of Madrid through Sol, Plaza Mayor and other historical and cultural sites.
You’ll then have free time or the option to explore one of Madrid’s world-renowned art museums - either the Museo del Prado or Reina Sofía.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Go for a stroll in the the famous Retiro Park or go shopping on Fuencarral and Gran Vía, two of Madrid’s most iconic shopping streets.
In the evening, we’ll eat our way through Madrid during our Spanish wine and tapas tour visiting different neighborhoods including the historic La Latina neighborhood.

Start your morning with breakfast at the hotel, followed by free time to explore Madrid at your own pace -whether that’s strolling through local markets, grabbing a coffee at a sidewalk café, or simply enjoying a slow morning.
Later in the day, you’ll have the option to unwind with a luxurious Hammam experience - a traditional Arabic bath with soothing steam, warm pools, and optional massage treatments.
Dinner is on your own tonight or feel free to tag along with the group if you're up for more good food and good company.
As the evening ends, we’ll come back together for a memorable night of live flamenco - a vibrant cultural experience filled with rhythm, and passion.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we check out and board the high-speed train to Barcelona, taking in scenic views as we travel comfortably to the heart of Catalonia.
Once we check in at our Barcelona hotel and enjoy a late lunch, the afternoon is yours to explore. We recommend visiting two iconic landmarks: the breathtaking Sagrada Família and the historic Arc de Triomf.
In the early evening, we’ll regroup for a guided walking tour through the Gothic Quarter, with optional stops to admire Casa Batlló and La Pedrera, two of Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces.
We’ll end the day with a delicious paella dinner, celebrating our arrival in this vibrant city.

After breakfast, we’ll head to the train station for our departure to Sitges, a charming seaside town just outside of Barcelona known for its beaches, art scene, and relaxed Mediterranean vibe.
Spend the day exploring Sitges at your own pace - stroll along the promenade, dip your toes in the sea, discover local boutiques, or enjoy a long, leisurely lunch by the water.
We’ll return to Barcelona in the afternoon/ evening. Dinner is on your own, with plenty of great options nearby whether you’re in the mood for tapas, seafood, or something sweet.

After breakfast, we’ll start the day with a visit to the colorful and iconic Park Güell, one of Antoni Gaudí’s most whimsical and beloved creations.
The rest of the day is yours to explore Barcelona at your own pace. Whether you want to visit a museum, hit the beach, grab souvenirs, or simply wander through the city’s charming neighborhoods - enjoy it your way.
Lunch is on your own, so feel free to try that spot you’ve been eyeing or ask us for a local recommendation.
In the evening, we’ll come back together one last time for a goodbye dinner as a group, sharing stories, laughs, and one final toast to an unforgettable journey.

After saying our goodbyes and reflecting on an unforgettable week, we’ll head to the airport together with a group transfer to Barcelona-El Prat Airport.

Your trip will be hosted by Claudia, a passionate traveler with a deep personal connection to Spain. After moving to Madrid at 19, she spent five years living in the country, attending university and fully immersing themselves in Spanish life and culture. During that time, she was a camp counselor in different regions of Spain, gaining firsthand experience with the country’s diverse traditions, communities, and way of life.
Having traveled to over 35 countries and lived in four (USA, Spain, Italy and South Korea), she brings both global perspective and local insight to every trip. Claudia speaks English, Spanish, and Italian, and loves sharing local tips, hidden gems, and cultural insights that help travelers experience Spain beyond the typical tourist spots.
Her focus on creating a relaxed and enjoyable group atmosphere. We keep our groups intentionally small — usually between 4–12 travelers — to create a more personal and connected experience.
There is a minimum of 4 travelers in order for the trip to be confirmed. We recommend waiting to book your flight until the trip has been confirmed. The trip will be confirmed no later than 30 days before the trip begins.

Our trips are designed with women in their mid-20s to mid-40s in mind, and most of our travelers fall within the 25–45 age range. That said, age is just a number— if you’re outside that range but feel aligned with the spirit of the trip, just reach out. We’re happy to chat and make sure it’s the right fit for you.

Your package includes accommodations, group activities, some meals, transportation from Madrid to Barcelona, and any tours or experiences listed in the itinerary including tips for your drivers and tour guides.

Most travelers are coming solo so you’re in good company! If you choose to share a room, we’ll thoughtfully pair you with a roommate we believe you’ll be a good match with — based on age, travel style, and preferences. Sharing a room often adds to the experience, creating connection and new friendships that are part of what makes group travel special. Prefer your own space? Private room upgrades are also available.

A deposit is required to hold your spot. The remaining balance is typically due 60 days before the trip. You’ll receive reminders and an invoice.

Yes, we require all travelers to carry travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and trip cancellations. We’re happy to recommend a plan!

We’ll send a detailed packing guide about 30 days before the trip, including tips based on weather, activities, and local style.
We also recommend leaving some space as Spain is a wonderful place for some shopping!

Our cancellation policy is outlined in your booking terms. We highly recommend travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unexpected changes.
Cancellations by Participant
If you cancel 90 days or more before departure, your deposit will be fully refunded, minus any non-refundable processing fees.
If you cancel between 89–60 days before departure, 50% of your total payment will be refunded (if already paid in full).
If you cancel within 60 days of departure, your payment is non-refundable, but may be applied as a credit toward a future trip with Retiro Travel LLC (valid for 12 months).
Deposits are non-refundable after the 90-day deadline unless the trip is cancelled by Retiro Travel LLC.
Transfer of Registration
You may transfer your reservation to another individual at no charge, provided the replacement traveler meets the requirements of the trip and completes the necessary registration and liability forms.
Cancellations by Retiro Travel LLC
We reserve the right to cancel a trip if the minimum number of 4 participants is not met. In such cases, you will be notified at least 30 days prior to departure and given the choice of:
A full refund, or
A credit toward a future Retiro Trip (valid for 12 months)
Retiro Travel LLC is not responsible for any additional costs you incur due to trip cancellation, including flights, accommodation outside the trip dates, or other personal expenses.

The tours involve walking; exploring cities, historic sites, and local neighborhoods — but nothing too intense or strenuous. Most activities are at a relaxed pace, and your free time is yours to use however you’d like: go for a hike, explore more, or take it easy at a café. You set the pace that feels right for you.
